What a beautiful photo, right?
2
And you clicked because is that easy?
3
I'm telling you, we all love cat eye, but this is easy.
4
Bear with me, let me show you.
5
The hardest part about this design is trying to decide which colors you put together.
6
Now, I did all four before I do the thumb to show you in the demo.
7
What I learned, I was trying to do these kind of ways, like to do it this way and then to do it this way.
8
And I like that.
9
But my favorite, I think, is the progression from the dark to the lighter one.
10
I think that's what I established.
11
So all you have to do is make sure that your nail is built.
12
Now, this is freshly filled.
13
The white is grown out, but it's filled with a clear or a nude pink kind of thing, and I did fill it So it's fresh and ready to go It's just looks too different.
14
It looks like it's grown out, but it's not so this is just a finish now I'm gonna buff that finish now now
15
The only problems that can really arise with this kind of thing is
16
if you experience some sort of chipping with your gel polish
17
So you want to make sure
18
that you use a good enough grit to be able to hold on onto that gel colour, onto whatever nail you built.
19
If you've got a tip on there, buff the tip.
20
If you've got acrylic on there, you've got to buff it.
21
If you've got gel on there, buff it, because gel likes to stick to a buffed or a sticky gel nail.
22
Okay, so make sure you've got your shape down and you're happy with all of that.
23
And then give it a bit to the buff just to get rid of it, or wipe it with alcohol.
24
If you wipe it with alcohol, make sure it's completely dry before you put the product on again.
25
So the colors.
26
I picked these colors because I really wanted it vibrant.
27
You could do it with any softer, any type of gel cat I want.
28
But I picked this one because these colors are very, very vibrant and they have very strong pigment
29
and very magnetic bits in it and lots of them to get that real look.
30
So all I'm going to do is just I'm going to dump all the colors right on my table
31
so I can work quite efficiently and it's gel, so it's not gonna dry.
32
Okay, oh, one thing I wanna do before.
33
I don't generally do this because I don't really have a problem with lifting
34
because I buff it with a strong enough grit.
35
If you're using a 240, good chance it's gonna chip.
36
Don't use a 240, use a 180.
37
And if you're using it on product, at least a 180, right?
38
But if you have any problem with lifting, use an adhesion of sort.
39
And that's what I'm gonna do now.
40
I have buffed this nail and now I'm gonna put the adhesion on.
41
You apply it by putting it on kind of like in a little circular motion.
42
It's just getting into all the grooves and nooks and crannies of making it adhesive.
43
Giving it an adhesion to actually make the product stick.
44
The only reason why I'm mentioning this to you is because I had somebody message me.
45
I think it was on Facebook.
46
And they were having, oh, nuke it for 60 seconds.
47
they were having some really big problems about their polished chipping and this was
48
they have a clientele and only just maybe 10 out of all their clients were doing this
49
so we were troubleshooting back
50
and forth trying to get down to the bottom of what's happening
51
and she's very frustrated I felt so bad for her
52
because she was so frustrated
53
and she was thinking about giving it up all for just a few clients when everything else was she's doing great
54
so she sent me photos fantastic job beautiful work
55
and you could see that she was
56
and she gave me the list of what she was doing
57
and no problems whatsoever she's doing everything right
58
so the only thing she wasn't doing was an ad maybe adhesion
59
or a strong enough buffer so she's going to try that and see
60
if it works some clients don't need it that's that's what
61
can be confusing about this industry some clients need it some clients don't
62
so then there's a battle of no you don't need it well some clients do
63
so it can be kind of confusing so
64
if you have any trouble with lifting just try an adhesion between your natural nail the gel polish
65
or the fake nail
66
and the gel polish just try an extra adhesion i did
67
notice one of these colors can stain a little bit even on this silicone
68
so i'm gonna just put
69
that color specifically on this clear layer i'm laying down just
70
to protect this pad i mean that's getting really big you don't have to do that but And you know what?
71
I think I might just Almost like a little shield because I can peel this right off.
72
It just peels right off the thing, but it That one color is such a strong pigment.
73
It actually did a little tiny stain on my Little mat here, so I kind of just try to keep it nice and clean.
74
I mean it's getting picky.
75
It's a work area Okay, so my first color is called Ulti No Shade Love this color
76
And it's just one nail so you don't really need too much much.
77
Back rolls.
78
I think tongue pop is the one that can really cause a stain.
79
And then there's kitty girl.
80
And not today Satan.
81
Actually this could be the staining one.
82
Actually I think this is it.
83
And then good God get a grip.
84
Okay now Now you just need yourself a nice long, oh I got a short one just for the little tight corners.
85
That's a 7mm brush and I'm also going to have my 25mm brush and I also have my 15mm brush.
86
Now sometimes you might not use them all but you just have them all ready just in case.
87
Then I'm going to have an alcohol soaked pad right nearby so that I can just rub my brushes on it.
88
Sometimes I'll fold them like that so that I can press it
89
and then get rid of all the stuff inside of it.
90
Okay.
91
Okay.
92
Now you're ready to go.
93
Once you've got everything set up, believe me, when I did this hand, this table didn't look as neat and tidy as this.
94
I cleaned it all up for you guys.
95
So I've got my adhesive on there.
96
Now don't worry about those dry looking messy cuticles.
97
That'll all be fixed once I put the oil on them.
98
Okay.
99
Now the big question is, which color do I start with?
100
The middle color seems to be the orange and the green
101
and that is always seems to be where I start and I think that's because
102
starting on the edge in the center at least I can move out.
103
I think that's why I do that.
104
Okay, so green seems to be sort of the middle bottom.
105
So let's start with that.
106
Now one great thing about gel when you're working with gel is If you don't like it,
107
you can simply take it off.
108
And when you do it, pull it right down over the side.
109
I'm going to move it up over here.
110
Sort of like a swirl this way down the nail.
111
I hope that looks good.
112
Making it kind of thinner in the center.
113
Now I'm gonna just flare this out.
114
Okay, I'm just, yeah, I think I like that.
115
Okay, this is where you want to get your magnet.
116
See what effect you want to create played with cat eye before you know what it can do for you
117
so you're just gonna play around
118
and see what kind of effect you can get on it
119
and then move it a little and see if it does the shifting
120
that you're looking for I think that's pretty effective I like that let me just sharpen it a bit
121
See how it's really moving and really shifting?
122
See that?
123
You can really just sort of select what you want.
124
I want it a little sharper.
125
A little sharper.
126
Oh, I could play all day.
127
Okay.
128
I just want to give it a flash gear because I'm going to do it all at once at the end.
129
I just want to hold it in place so it doesn't move.
130
Or if I bump into it with another color, it doesn't bleed into each other okay
131
so now I'm going to clean my little pen we're going to get this little alcohol pad here
132
because it needs a little bit of pressure if you go like
133
that it doesn't really get rid of all of it
134
so I usually fold it over press a little
135
and then pull it out so the next color I did is called Kitty girl, it's the purple.
136
And you're going to put it right beside.
137
Oh, a little tiny hair.
138
Oh, you know, I really didn't leave enough room.
139
Okay, so I kind of think that maybe I made the...
140
This is just a personal flair, but it gets you a chance to show you if you made a mistake.
141
So I think it's maybe just a little bit too wide there, so I'm just going to eliminate that a little bit.
142
so yeah you can see that if you do something you don't like and maybe it's a little too
143
yeah I think that I prefer that look so I just made it a little bit narrower in the center
144
and flaring out this way on the end.
145
I might have made the green too wide, overestimating the width of the finger.
146
So now I'm going to just sharpen up the cat eye effect.
147
I love that.
148
It gives like two different shades.
149
So yeah, you're working with one color, but you've got like, it looks like two different colors on there
150
because it gives the darker side of the color and the shimmery magnetic side.
151
Okay, now if I'm just moving it a little, I can see that shimmer.
152
That's pretty effective.
153
I like that.
154
Let me just see if I can knock this back a little.
155
Make that a little, yeah, yeah, yeah.
156
Now I don't want to touch that end, but I just want to affect that a little.
157
That's pretty good.
158
Maybe just a little dab in the center, make it a little bit more sharp.
159
Yep.
160
Okay.
161
I'm going to give that maybe three or four seconds.
162
I just want to hold it.
163
Okay.
164
Now I'm going to clean off that poipel.
165
And now I'm going to go in for some good God, get a grip.
166
It's this beautiful, rich blue color.
167
So when you're putting it on, make sure that you put the gel polish right up to the previous color.
168
Make it real crisp and strong in there.
169
That's lovely.
170
So then I'm going to take my little...
171
You can see why.
172
If you don't nuke in between, they can bleed between the colors.
173
And also, it'll shape-shift your.. like the magnetic will get affected.
174
So you have to freeze your magnetic color or you don't get that look, right?
175
Let me just try another shape See, that's interesting, we could cause that like,
176
but I find that really boring I don't really like the line I like this where it kinda
177
Causes that when you move your nail You see it kinda shifting on both sides
178
I'm gonna cause it really blue down there and see if I can See how blue that is?
179
No shimmer almost And then just pick the shimmer up on this side and see what that does.
180
Okay, let's go in for just a few seconds.
181
And let's squeeze another color over here.
182
I'm going to go for this sort of a deeper pink.
183
It's called Tung Pum.
184
And now, it's not much.
185
You're not going to see much with this, but I can see it a little bit.
186
Did you see that move?
187
Just that little tiny spot.
188
It definitely moved a little bit.
189
And yes, I am going to give that just a couple seconds nuke.
190
Okay, and then I'm going to clean my brush.
191
Okay, so now I'm going to go in with this orange color and the green together.
192
It's called Back Rolls, this orange.
193
So I'm going to put the orange right next to this.
194
I got a little bit on my skin, I just noticed.
195
You get a little bit of product on your skin.
196
Just take some alcohol on a pad.
197
Let's get back to me orange.
198
And I think I'm just going to make the orange just a little bit skinnier up in here.
199
and I'm gonna just magnetic up that cat eye effect on the orange.
200
I like to get it kind of sharp.
201
Does that work?
202
Yeah, that's what you want it to do.
203
You want it to have a good shift.
204
Okay, then I think we can only really fit one more color on there.
205
And that's gonna be not today Satan.
206
This nice really intent.
207
This is the staining pink that I was talking about.
208
that it might stain your matte.
209
Oh, I love this color.
210
So I finally didn't really need the other brushes, did I?
211
Because this is a bigger finger, but the smaller brush that I had ready, I had them ready just in case.
212
You never know.
213
Okay.
214
Now I can give the whole thing an oops.
215
So I gotta change that.
216
Let's give it a 60 second complete full nuke so all the layers will cure properly.
217
Now I will put the reveal on there to protect and bring out all the colors.
218
Okay, and now I'm gonna give it a full 60 second cure for that top coat.
219
When you're doing it with a customer you want to make sure
220
that you paint every green color on one hand completely Do
221
two hands separately then do all the purple then do all the pink
222
So you're not cleaning the brush in between because
223
when you clean in between it really does suck up time
224
But it goes much faster if you do one color on the whole hand Okay, let's take oh hang on.
225
I just about forgot.
226
Oh, oh here it is.
227
I almost forgot it Look at this.
228
I made a little ring to go with it it.
229
So when I'm doing the photographs, it's on the ring too.
230
Okay, now let's check out the photographs.
231
Like I say, when I did this, it was a mess.
232
When I do the YouTube channel and my customers, I make sure that it's all nice and clean because a mess can be very chaotic.
233
But I'm just going to get back to this and now see if this will peel up.
234
Okay so I'm just going to pick up a corner here because it won't.
235
Oh look at that.
236
Oh my goodness.
237
I'm brilliant.
238
That worked really good.
239
Look.
240
Look at that.
241
Okay just fold it and toss it away.
242
That worked awesome.
243
That was really cool.
244
Okay one thing I did want to mention, I think looking at the patterns, I don't like the thumb as much.
245
It's okay.
246
It's pretty.
247
You might like that.
248
I don't think it's, I mean, I'll have to think about it, but I think my favorite still is this one and this one.
249
And it's probably just because I don't like the green next to the blue, the green next to the blue so much.
250
I like the variant of the colors moving up like that.
251
It's just a personal preference, but I'm glad I tried this because it It is cool.
252
It's just maybe not my favorite layout, but I'm glad I saved it for the thumb, to be honest with you.
253

  • "The hardest part about this design is..." (La parte più difficile di questo design è...) – per descrivere sfide in attività creative.
  • "I picked this one because..." (Ho scelto questo perché...) – per spiegare le ragioni dietro una scelta.
  • "Good chance it's gonna chip" (C'è molta possibilità che si spacchi) – per esprimere probabilità in contesti pratici.
  • "Giving it an adhesion to actually make the product stick" (Dandogli adesione per far aderire il prodotto) – per descrivere processi tecnici in modo chiaro.

Correggi i tuoi punti deboli
